he Spearfish Center for the Arts and Humanities d/b/a Spearfish Arts Center is managed by a 9 member Board of Directors. The members serve three year terms and are elected on a rotating basis at the annual meeting of the Spearfish Center for the Arts and Humanities each January. Local citizens may apply to be considered for the board. For an application for the board
contact the Executive Director. The board meets the 2nd Monday of each month.

The Mission of the Spearfish Center for the Arts and Humanities is to promote the arts and humanities by providing quality programming and education while preserving the Matthews Opera House.
Grants & Donations
Each year the Spearfish Center for the Arts and Humanities applies for grants from government entities, foundations and clubs and asks for donations from individuals and businesses to support general operations, events and specific projects.
